If floral photography is your passion, then this is the place for you. Master Photographer, Karen Nakamura will speak to our members aout her photographic and photoshop skills, giving us insight to how she creates a floral masterpiece!
Karen Nakamura started her career shortly after achieving a Bachelors of Fine Art /Photography degree from Cal State University Long Beach. She is widely acclaimed for her signature style images of flowers. She is gifted with a unique take on them that evolves with each new blossom she shoots. Some of her inspiration and creativity comes from an adoration of orchids, which she tended to as a hobby. She also incorporates birds and wildlife into her art.
Karen has earned the Master Photographer, Craftsman and Master Artist Degree from Professional Photographers of America. She has also received the Imaging Excellence award. This award provides recognition for those rare photographers who have earned their PPA master’s degrees in the field of imaging and have continued to submit images worthy of acceptance into the PPA General and Loan Collections—the best images of PPA’s annual International Photographic Competition. In other words, the Imaging Excellence Award honors Karen's ability to consistently create photographic images of outstanding quality.
