Maren Levinson is the founder of Redeye, an artist’s agency that represents photographers, illustrators, art directors, and set designers. Before starting Redeye, Maren was the founding photo editor of Dwell Magazine and a photo editor at Mother Jones Magazine before that. She photo directed the the San Francisco issue of Big, and was a consultant for the startups, Chow and GOOD Magazines.
Maren has always believed an artist benefits from a multi-faceted career, built around their passions instead of around trends. As an agent, she works with creatives, marketing departments, producers, art buyers, and photo editors all over the globe on voice-driven work.
Maren has also enjoyed being a reviewer for the Lucie Foundation, PhotoLucida, MOPLA, The Medium Photo Festival, Review LA, Review Santa Fe, Palm Springs Photo Fest and the Houston Fotofest, among others. She feels that the more work you see the more you know about photography, design and the visual world around us.
