The "secrets" of Image Composition Using Photoshop

  • 06/14/2017
  • 7:00 PM - 9:00 PM
  • The Center for Digital Arts

You've all seen those spectacular photo compositions showing subjects in settings that just seems too perfect to be true. Of course, they were photo composed! In this presentation Rick Valasek will show you an overview of how today's best image manipulators have achieved these results. Starting with methodical planning and then employing masking as selection techniques you too can achieve whatever results you can imagine. These techniques are used by such digital artists as Joel Grimes, Cory Barker, Pete Collins and many more. With the advancements in Photoshop CC masking around fly-away hair, and other "impossible" subjects is a task which takes minutes (instead of hours). Rick will also show you how the final "finishing" effects can blend any subject "into" the scene.

The presentation on Wednesday night will also give you a preview of the 5-hour, hands-on workshop which will be offer at the Center of the Digital Arts on June 17 (next Saturday).
